CHERN’s Working Group 4 (Public diplomacy and knowledge production) is organising a workshop with a view to preparing an edited collection of papers on the topic “Narrating Europe and China in Times of Crisis”.
The online workshop will take place on 23-24 June 2022 (two afternoons) with presentations of paper outlines. In order to achieve the above goal of coherence, the workshop will facilitate in-depth exchange among potential contributors. A follow-up in-person workshop is planned for October 2022.
We invite contributions on the role of narratives in the areas of foreign policy and security; economy; values; climate and environment; culture and education. We will group the papers into thematic sections as appropriate. Abstracts of 250-400 words are to be submitted until 16 May 2022.
